If Not Now, Then Never
This is in reference to the timely article, ‘If Not Now, Then Never’ by Dr. Ravindra Kumar, published in an old edition of Bhavan’s Journal.
The article urges all human beings to be conscientious enough to look after one another unselfishly and give due respect and care to our immediate environment. In the name of modernity and the steady growth of civilisation, man has been trampling upon the sanctity of the environment to such an extent that a shocking imbalance looms large.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic should be an eye-opener for all of us to rethink and readjust our lifestyle so that there is no undue pressure on the environment. The melting of glaciers, untimely rains and frequent occurrences of thunderstorms are signs of an imbalanced ecosystem.
It is high time that human beings stopped being inhuman and acted in accordance with their inherent divine nature so that man-made disasters can be avoided. The title ‘If Not Now, Then Never’ is perfectly apt in this context.

Salute to women achievers
I was delighted to see 21 women achievers on the cover page of Bhavan’s Journal (BJ March 15, 2022) as a mark of the celebration of International Women’s Day which fell on 8th March 2022, together with a one-page coverage of their extraordinary contributions. The editorial team of our esteemed magazine deserves a hearty applause and cheers for selecting the deserving ladies (who are excelling in their respective fields) out of a large number of women achievers. It is sure to inspire the young minds of India to achieve a lot for society in the days to come.
